1. Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account (or sign in).
2. Add billing under Settings → Billing. A $5 initial credit is plenty to try the app.
3. Under Settings → API Keys, click Create Key. Copy the key that starts with sk-ant-....
4. In ApplyForge open the Settings tab, paste the key, and tap Save key.

Your key is stored in the iOS Keychain. It's never transmitted to ACRA Insight — only to Anthropic when the app runs an AI step.

Open the Materials tab and tap Create profile. Add your master résumé and paste in an achievement bank — every bullet you've ever written for a review or interview prep. This is the honest ground truth the Forge builds every tailored document from.

Achievements should be atomic ("Shipped X, improving Y by Z"), not paragraphs. The more you feed it, the better the tailoring.

Three ways:

• Paste a URL — tap the + button in the Cockpit and drop in a job link.
• Let Claude find them — tap Find jobs with AI and describe your dream role. Claude scouts and adds the top matches.
• Import a CSV — tap the share icon (top right) and choose Import.

Add at least one job target in the Cockpit, then switch to the Forge tab. Select which targets you want in this batch (or run all), and tap Forge batch. ApplyForge will:

1. Cluster similar roles.
2. Draft an archetype résumé for each cluster.
3. Write a tailored cover letter for each job that fits the archetype but speaks to specifics from the posting.

Batches of 10–20 usually finish in a couple of minutes.

1. Go to console.anthropic.com → API Keys. Confirm the key is active (not revoked).
2. Confirm your workspace has billing enabled — free keys with $0 credit will fail.
3. In ApplyForge → Settings, delete and re-paste the key. Watch for stray whitespace at the start or end.

Anthropic rate-limits by workspace tier. If you hit one during a big batch, wait a minute and re-run — ApplyForge picks up where it left off. Or lower the batch size to 5–10 at a time.

Force-quit ApplyForge (swipe up on the app card) and relaunch. Your data is persisted after every step, so nothing is lost.

Settings → Erase all data. This clears every job target, résumé, achievement, and generated document from the local database. The API key in Keychain is cleared separately — remove it in the same screen.

Two paths: enable iCloud Backup for your iPhone (system-level), or use Settings → Export manifest to save a JSON file via the share sheet. Keep the manifest wherever you keep other important documents.
